Mental Health Awareness: Wellbeing owls: not true, but….

However, as a business, we do take employee mental health and wellbeing very seriously.

As part of our commitment to mental health awareness, we have invested in training seven staff members as Mental Health First Aiders. They are trained to act as a first port of call for employees to discuss mental health matters confidentially and signpost individuals to sources of professional support where required.

The skills that our Mental Health First Aiders have gained equip them to recognise potential mental health issues and offer to support to individuals within their personal circles and the wider community.

As well as working reactively, the team continue to implement proactive initiatives as part of our wider Mental Health Awareness campaign.

These initiatives include our Employee Appreciation scheme, wellbeing challenges, education programmes and more. As yet, this package of initiatives does not include the provision of owls – or any animals – on our sites.
