Here within Anglian Water, we collaborate with a number of alliance partners to provide the best water recycling services across the region by maintaining our existing assets and undertaking new projects to safeguard future water recycling asset health.  

Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop are the Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance (IMR WRA) who are key to delivering sustainable solutions.

Comprising of Anglian Water, Clancy, Claret Civil Engineering, Public Sewer Services and Danaher & Walsh, the IMR WRA manages planned and emergency sewer, rising mains and SMART technology installation as well as maintenance and repair across the region.

With the IMR WRA not only increasing in size, but also profile across the Anglian Water network are looking for two Project Support Technicians to support our delivery teams in achieving safe, on time and within budget project excellence!

What will you be doing as our new Project Support Technician?

As our new Project Support Technician, you’ll be locally based supporting the Engineering and delivery teams embedded in the WRN IMR Alliance. You’ll support and deliver planned work to infrastructure assets and work with stakeholders to provide effective solutions.

There will be a need to develop clear, concise and costed solutions for delivery to be able to fulfil defined activities

Gathering data and information from various sources will be an essential part of the role ensuring that the Corporate Systems are up to date

Key responsibilities:

  • Be able to investigate and develop solutions to enable successful delivery
  • Manage the follow-on response to identify key objectives are met utilising simple reporting
  • Customer liaison and customer service including customer issue resolution when appropriate
  • Work closely with Partner delivery teams, contractors and wider AW teams such as Systems Planners, Networks, M&E and Treatment
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy of all data for projects being developed and delivered
  • Capture and record financial and performance data pertaining to the projects

A little bit about your skills and behaviours

  • Education to GCSE, ONC or equivalent
  • Appropriate professional engineering qualification (ideally Eng.Tech or equivalent)
  • Proven Anglian Water operational experience
  • Contract management skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong cost and risk based analysis skills
  • Be able to understand CCTV reports and write simple reports
