We are proud to announce that Danaher & Walsh has been appointed to the £4.29bn National Framework for Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and Enabling Works 2026. Pagabo manages the framework on behalf of YPO.
The four-year framework is open to sectors including central and local government, the NHS, blue light services, housing and education. It complies with both the Procurement Act 2023 and the Procurement Regulations 2024. It connects public sector bodies with appointed contractors who deliver quality service and value for money.
Our appointment means public sector organisations across the East Midlands, West Midlands and East of England can now procure civil engineering work from us directly through the framework. This gives them a simpler, quicker route to working with us.
Sean McCallion, Operations Director at Danaher & Walsh, said:
“We are delighted to have been appointed to Pagabo’s National Framework for Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and Enabling Works. This is a real milestone for the business. It means public sector organisations can now procure work from us through Pagabo with confidence, knowing the route is compliant, transparent and efficient. Danaher & Walsh Pipeline Solutions is the new name for our dedicated pipeline division, previously known as APS. The refreshed identity brings our specialist trenchless expertise clearly under the Danaher & Walsh brand.
This change creates a single, recognisable name for high-performance, no-dig pipeline rehabilitation. However, the experience, people and technical capability remain the same.
For clients, the new identity offers greater clarity. It also strengthens the link between our specialist pipeline services and the wider Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering business.
A Clearer Identity for Specialist Pipeline Services
Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd has strengthened its specialist offer with the introduction of Danaher & Walsh Pipeline Solutions.
The new name reflects the division’s role within the wider business. It also makes it easier for clients to access specialist trenchless services through one trusted civil engineering contractor.
Although the name has changed, our approach has not. The team will continue to provide technical expertise, practical advice and reliable delivery across complex pipeline projects.
Supporting Low-Disruption Pipeline Rehabilitation
Dave Burkill, Head of Danaher & Walsh Pipeline Solutions, said:
“We are seeing increasing demand for low-disruption, data-led rehabilitation, particularly in constrained and high-risk environments. By engaging with us early, clients can reduce programme pressure, manage risk more effectively and achieve better long-term outcomes for their assets.
“Bringing our pipeline capability fully under the Danaher & Walsh name provides greater clarity for clients while reinforcing the technical strength behind our delivery. The expertise, people and technology remain the same, but the clearer identity makes it easier for organisations to access specialist, trenchless solutions as part of a wider civil engineering offer.”
Over 20 Years of Specialist Experience
Danaher & Walsh Pipeline Solutions brings more than two decades of experience in complex sewer and drainage schemes.
The team works across a range of sectors, including:
- Utilities
- Highways
- Commercial estates
- Industrial infrastructure
Across every project, the focus remains the same. We help keep critical infrastructure operational while working discreetly beneath it.
What This Means for Clients
The refreshed identity delivers three clear benefits for clients.
Clarity
Clients can now access a clearly defined specialist pipeline division within the Danaher & Walsh group.
Confidence
Our engineer-led expertise is supported by the strength and experience of an established civil engineering contractor.
Added Value
We provide integrated delivery from initial investigation through to long-term asset restoration.
As a result, clients benefit from one accountable partner throughout the process.
Why Choose a Trenchless Approach?
For organisations managing ageing assets, restricted sites or high-risk environments, trenchless technology offers a practical alternative to traditional excavation.
It can help reduce programme duration and overall cost. In addition, it can minimise disruption to traffic, businesses, local communities and daily operations.
By avoiding extensive open works, trenchless rehabilitation can also reduce health, safety and environmental risks. It also allows teams to access pipelines beneath rivers, buildings and live infrastructure.
Furthermore, high-quality inspection data and detailed condition reporting support better decision-making. This helps clients plan long-term asset management with greater confidence.
Our End-to-End Pipeline Services
Danaher & Walsh Pipeline Solutions provides a fully integrated service, including:
- CCTV inspection and MSCC-compliant condition reporting
- Cleaning and pipeline preparation
- Precision robotic cutting and reinstatement
- UV-CIPP structural relining
- Manhole and chamber rehabilitation
- Targeted patch repairs
This integrated model gives clients one accountable partner from initial investigation to long-term restoration. Therefore, it reduces interfaces, manages risk and improves delivery certainty.

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering is pleased to announce that it has secured an £8 million contract to deliver the next phase of Waltham Cross public realm improvements.
The project will support the continued regeneration of Waltham Cross town centre. It will also improve access, safety and the overall look and feel of key public spaces.
Waltham Cross sits on the southern edge of Hertfordshire, within the Borough of Broxbourne. The town is known for its historic Eleanor Cross monument and its busy High Street market, which takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Continuing Town Centre Improvements
The current pedestrian zone was first introduced more than 30 years ago. In 2019, Danaher & Walsh refreshed the southern section of the town centre. The project received strong praise for its quality and positive impact. This latest contract will build on that earlier work. It will help create a more modern, accessible and welcoming town centre for residents, businesses and visitors.
Scope of the Waltham Cross Scheme
Danaher & Walsh secured the scheme through the Procure Partnerships Framework. The works will focus on three main areas across the town centre.
High Street Paving Upgrade
Danaher & Walsh will upgrade the paving along the High Street. This work will allow for the reintroduction of a single lane of carriageway. As a result, the scheme will improve access and make the area more practical for different users.
Stanhope Way and Monarchs Way Junction
The project will also include remodelling works at the Stanhope Way and Monarchs Way junction. This part of the scheme will introduce two new pedestrian crossing points. In addition, the team will infill the existing subway. These works will improve pedestrian safety and support better traffic movement. They will also help reduce anti-social behaviour linked to the existing subway.
Eleanor Cross Road Enhancements
Danaher & Walsh will also carry out paving and surfacing works on Eleanor Cross Road. These improvements will support the wider public realm upgrade. They will also help create a more consistent and attractive town centre environment.
Delivering Public Realm and Infrastructure Works
Danaher & Walsh has strong experience in public realm, highways and infrastructure projects. Our team will self-deliver key elements of the work. This approach supports close control of quality, safety and programme delivery.
It also allows our teams to manage details carefully while working in a live town centre environment. Throughout the project, Danaher & Walsh will focus on safe delivery, clear communication and high-quality workmanship.
Supporting the Local Community During Construction
Sean McCallion, Operations Director at Danaher & Walsh, said:
“Danaher & Walsh has received our Notice to Proceed into project delivery and we are mobilising for the start on site date of 2 September 2024. We are a family-owned firm and will live by our values. We will look after our people and those we work with, demonstrate personal integrity throughout, and deliver a quality product. We will go the extra mile to serve the local community in Waltham Cross town centre during the construction phase. We will also keep stakeholders, business owners and road users informed as the project progresses.”
A Regeneration Project for Waltham Cross
Councillor Mark Mills-Bishop, Leader of Broxbourne Council, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Danaher & Walsh on this important regeneration project. The new look High Street will transform Waltham Cross town centre into a place where people want to live, visit and do business. The plans have been carefully designed, taking into account feedback from the public. I truly believe that the new modern look and feel will enhance the visitor and business landscape in the town.”
Project Start Date
The Waltham Cross public realm project is due to start in September 2024. The scheme is expected to take around one year to complete.
Danaher & Walsh looks forward to working with the Borough of Broxbourne Council and local stakeholders to deliver lasting improvements for the town centre.

Thank you to the Borough of Broxbourne for this artist’s impression of the scheme.

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering is proud to announce the start of Waltham Cross Town Centre Regeneration works. The project officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday 12 September 2024. Representatives from Broxbourne Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council and the MP for Broxbourne joined Danaher & Walsh to mark the start of this major town centre scheme.
Marking the Start of a Major Transformation
The ceremony marked an important milestone for Waltham Cross. As the appointed contractor, Danaher & Walsh will lead the delivery of the project. The works will help modernise and revitalise the town centre. The scheme supports Broxbourne Borough Council’s wider vision for a more welcoming, vibrant and prosperous community.
Improving the Public Realm
Danaher & Walsh will deliver a range of public realm improvements across the town centre. The works will include high-quality paving, new street furniture, lighting, seating and landscaped play areas. The team will also replace the outdated red brick walkways with modern light grey paving. This new finish will complement nearby Queen Eleanor Square, which Danaher & Walsh regenerated in 2019. Together, these changes will create a cleaner, brighter and more attractive town centre.
Safer Access and Better Movement
The scheme will also deliver important pedestrian and highway improvements.
New crossings along Monarchs Way will give residents and visitors safer access to the town centre. As part of the works, the team will close the old underpass linking the town centre with Stanhope Road. This change will improve safety and create a better experience for people moving through the area. In addition, the project will reintroduce limited vehicle access through part of the town centre. This will support the nighttime economy while keeping public safety at the centre of the design.
Designed with the Community in Mind
Public consultation helped shape the final designs.
Government funding also made the scheme possible. As a result, the project can now move forward and deliver long-term improvements for the local community. Danaher & Walsh is excited to support this ambitious regeneration project. We are committed to delivering high-quality work and keeping the town centre moving during construction.
Looking Ahead
The works are expected to finish by autumn 2025.
Once complete, the scheme will leave a lasting legacy for Waltham Cross. It will improve public spaces, support local businesses and create a more welcoming town centre for residents and visitors. For more information about the project, visit the Waltham Cross Town Centre Regeneration page on the Broxbourne Borough Council website. Thank you to our client, Broxbourne Borough Council, for the photographs and information. Project sourced through Procure Partnerships Framework.
