Social Value Case Study
Supporting Local Charities: Ashbourne Foodbank
Demonstrating Social Value through Community Partnership
At Danaher & Walsh, we recognise that our responsibilities extend beyond delivering infrastructure. We are committed to creating a positive social impact in the communities where we operate.
One recent example of this was our collaboration with Galliford Try in supporting the Food bank – Ashbourne Elim Church initiative. As part of this partnership, we contributed donations to help provide essential supplies for individuals and families in need.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from our site team, many of whom personally donated items to support the cause.
Making a Difference Locally
This activity reflects Danaher & Walsh’s ongoing commitment to enhancing local communities. It aligns with our core values of:
- Integrity – doing the right thing for those in need.
- Community Engagement – building strong connections where we work.
- Responsibility – delivering positive outcomes beyond the construction site.
We are proud to support initiatives that deliver meaningful benefits at a local level. As Galliford Try’s Site Agent, Jake Hargreaves, commented:
“The foodbank donation was delivered to the church this morning and was well received. Huge thanks to everyone who donated, together we have made a positive impact on the community we are working in.”
Embedding social value in what we do
Supporting projects like this is a key feature of Danaher & Walsh’s approach to social value. We believe in working collaboratively with our clients and supply chain partners to leave a lasting, positive legacy wherever we operate.
