At Danaher & Walsh, supporting the next generation of construction professionals is at the heart of what we do. As part of our ongoing commitment to investing in future talent, we’re proud to work with local educational providers at Stephenson College to offer real-world experience to students preparing to enter the industry.

Meet our T-Level student Oliver, who is currently studying Professional Construction at Stephenson College and has been gaining invaluable experience through a structured placement with our team.

‘Working across multiple sites with Danaher & Walsh, I’ve had the opportunity to take on a variety of responsibilities that have helped me grow both professionally and personally. My day-to-day tasks can vary depending on the project, but some of my responsibilities include creating and updating weekly cost reports, overseeing site procedures and practices to ensure everything runs smoothly, and developing weekly programmes to keep work on track.’ – Oliver H

Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice

This blended learning approach has allowed the student to bridge classroom theory with real-life application, offering insights into both the operational and administrative sides of construction.

From observing project delivery to gaining hands-on experience, the placement has provided a well-rounded introduction to the many facets of the industry.
