Social Value Case Study
Danaher & Walsh has committed to Social Value, which we call ‘Engineered for Good’. We focus on the ten areas we believe we can make the biggest and best impact in the communities in which we work.
This case study exemplifies our commitment to inspiring the next generation.
Inspiring the next generation
Danaher & Walsh’s SHEQ Manager, Sue Southam, is making a meaningful impact by participating in Leicester City in the Community’s Work for All programme.
This initiative focuses on enhancing the employability of Year 13 students (aged 17-18) from various SEND schools across Leicestershire.
Through mock interviews, Sue is helping students prepare for real-world job scenarios, equipping them with essential skills to showcase their potential as future employees.
The 12-week programme culminates in invaluable work experience placements, followed by a weekend retreat at Calvert Lakes, a specialised outdoor activity centre designed for individuals with disabilities.
Leicester City in the Community is a vital community engagement initiative of Leicester City Football Club, dedicated to fostering social value. With her background as a trained CITB Construction Ambassador, Sue is passionate about inspiring young people to pursue fulfilling careers, especially in the construction sector. Her involvement underscores Danaher & Walsh’s commitment to inspiring the next generation
