Danaher & Walsh Supports Derby College T Level Students with Industry-Led Mock Interviews
As part of our commitment to social value and our role as STEM Ambassadors, Danaher & Walsh supported Derby College’s Construction T Level cohort with a full day of mock interviews at the Hudson Building.
Joanne and Mark met 40 students on the Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning pathway. Each student took part in a realistic interview ahead of their work placement applications.
Students received tailored feedback and coaching on presenting their strengths. They also gained insight into what employers look for when recruiting early-career talent in construction and civil engineering.
The session helped build confidence, improve employability skills and give students a clearer understanding of interview success.
This activity forms part of D&W’s wider support for T Level programmes across the region. We currently host four T Level students from Derby College, Stephenson College and Broxbourne College. They gain hands-on experience across our civils and Anglian Water teams.
Our ongoing engagement strengthens links between industry and education. It also supports learner outcomes and helps develop the next generation of construction professionals.
This reflects our Engineered for Good approach. We use our expertise to support communities and inspire future talent.
