Danaher & Walsh helped to totally resurface and line a church car park to give them a smart and accessible frontage which will last them for years to come.

Social Value Case Study

Danaher & Walsh has made a commitment to Social Value, which we call ‘Engineered for Good’. We focus on the ten areas we believe we can make the biggest and best impact in the communities in which we work.

This case study is an example of our commitment to enhance communities.

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering was appointed by Balfour Beatty on behalf of Coventry City Council to improve the road layout and traffic flow into Coventry city centre, along with major pedestrian, cyclist and public realm improvements.

A local church was particularly affected by the works as it was right in the vicinity of some of the more significant elements of the project.

Community liaison is always key on these occasions, and it became apparent that the church desperately needed its car park resurfacing to allow for easier access for people in wheelchairs.

Danaher & Walsh, along with another Balfour Beatty subcontractor, totally resurfaced and lined the entire car park giving them a smart and accessible frontage which will now last them for years to come. The pastor at the church was overwhelmed with gratitude and said that it would make the lives of their wheelchair users so much easier, that their thanks could not be expressed enough.
