Enhancing Communities

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering was appointed by Balfour Beatty, on behalf of Coventry City Council, to deliver a major scheme improving the road layout and traffic flow into Coventry city centre. The project also included significant pedestrian, cyclist, and public realm improvements.

A local church was directly affected by the works, as it was located next to some of the most complex elements of the scheme. During construction, it became clear that the church’s car park required resurfacing. Without this, access was difficult, particularly for wheelchair users.

Recognising the importance of supporting the community, Danaher & Walsh worked with another Balfour Beatty subcontractor to resurface and line the entire car park. The result is a safe, smart, and fully accessible frontage that will benefit the church for many years to come.

The pastor expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the improvements would transform day-to-day life for wheelchair users and the wider congregation.
