The Brief
Danaher & Walsh carried out drainage works at The Rookery, Cropwell Butler to fix long-term surface water flooding.
Ongoing drainage issues had affected the local road and caused problems for residents. Therefore, the scheme focused on creating a better drainage system for the area.
Project Overview
Danaher & Walsh installed a new surface water drainage system to improve water management across the site.
To capture and move surface water more effectively, the works included new carrier drains and gullies. Once the drainage installation was complete, our team also carried out highway reinstatement and resurfacing works.
Together, these improvements created a stronger drainage solution for the local road network. They also helped protect the surrounding area from further damage caused by standing water and flooding.
Outcomes
New drainage infrastructure has resolved a persistent flooding issue at The Rookery.
As a result, the scheme has reduced the risk of road closures, embankment erosion and disruption to residents. It has also improved the long-term resilience of the highway.
Close collaboration with the client, designers and local stakeholders helped deliver the project successfully. This joined-up approach created a practical and sustainable solution for the community.
For Cropwell Butler, the completed works will provide lasting benefits and support safer, more reliable access for years to come.
