Meldreth Station Link, Cambridgeshire
The Brief
Introduce a sustainable transport route across Cambridgeshire connecting Cambridge with the surrounding towns and villages. Specifically focused on linking Meldreth and Melbourn.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge on this project was logistical due to width constraints; however, we overcame this and finished the project on time and to budget.
The Solution
Danaher & Walsh widened an existing footpath to 3m and installed. Drainage, street lighting, fencing, field gates and street furniture whilst maintaining access for commuters utilising the nearby train station.
The Outcome
A successful scheme with a new, well-lit shared-use cycle path was introduced.
