King Street Triangle, New Walk, Leicester
This contract comprised public realm works to King Street Triangle, at the northern end of New Walk in Leicester City Centre.
Project Overview
Existing asphalt surfacing and footway construction was broken out. High quality granite paving was installed along with resin-bound decorative surfacing.
Other hard landscaping features constructed and installed include seating, planters and a custom-built circular bench. The completed scheme included retaining a number of existing mature trees; care had to be taken to protect these trees during the course of the works.
The works took place in a confined area, and provisions had to made to ensure that nearby businesses were able to continue trading without interruption.
