Boots Bridge Renovation, Nottingham
Danaher & Walsh were appointed by Via to renovate Boots Bridge, which spans the Beeston Canal, Nottingham. Originally built by Boots Pharmaceuticals, this bridge served as a vital link for workers accessing the Boots Works adjacent to the canal.
Project Overview
The primary aim of the renovation was to restore the underutilised footbridge, reconnecting a previously well-travelled pathway for pedestrians and cyclists. This initiative sought to enhance accessibility to Nottingham City Centre, encouraging increased foot traffic and connectivity within the community.
We replaced the existing timber bridge deck, establishing a safe and durable access route. In addition, the metal bridge structure underwent mechanical
preparation and was repainted to enhance its longevity and visual appeal.
