Our Commitment to Net Zero
At Danaher & Walsh, we recognise our responsibility to reduce our environmental impact. We also recognise our role in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Our commitment to Net Zero sits at the heart of our business strategy. In addition, it shapes the way we deliver projects for our clients, communities and future generations.
Progress to Date
Progress to Date
- Since 2013, we have measured and audited our carbon output across our operations.
- Our five-year rolling average carbon reduction, normalised against turnover, shows a 29% decrease.
- As a result, this demonstrates consistent progress and supports our determination to take further action.
Future Projections
Looking ahead, we project that our carbon emissions will reduce to 732 tCO₂e by 2030. This represents a 40% reduction compared to our baseline.
- The largest opportunity for reduction lies in the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil across our site plant and equipment.
- HVO offers emissions savings of up to 90%. Therefore, we are working towards full adoption across all projects.

Danaher & Walsh are Committed to Achieving Net Zero by 2045
How We Will Achieve Net Zero
Our Net Zero pathway is built on collaboration, innovation, and long-term planning:
- 2025–2045 Net Zero Roadmap: We have set clear milestones to reduce emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, with full Net Zero targeted by 2045.
- Partnerships with Clients and Stakeholders: We will work proactively with our supply chain, clients, and partners to deliver projects that minimise environmental impact and support shared sustainability goals.
- Innovation in Operations: We are committed to adopting sustainable fuels, improving plant efficiency, and embedding circular economy principles into our project delivery.
- Continuous Monitoring: Through ongoing measurement and reporting, we will track our progress, maintain transparency, and hold ourselves accountable.
Our Commitment
We are proud of the progress we have already made and are committed to achieving even greater reductions in the years ahead. By working together with our clients, partners, and communities, Danaher & Walsh will deliver sustainable civil engineering solutions that support a greener, healthier, and more resilient future.
