D&W Secures £12m of New Contracts Across the Midlands and East Anglia
Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering has secured new contracts across the Midlands and East Anglia, with a combined value of £12m.
The latest contract awards strengthen the company’s forward workload. They also reflect continued client confidence in Danaher & Walsh’s civil engineering expertise. The new schemes cover highways, Section 278 works, public realm, infrastructure and environmental improvements.
Major Highway Works and Section 278 Schemes
The largest single contract award comes from Pigeon Developments.
Danaher & Walsh will deliver Section 278 highway works to support access to a new development site near the A14 at Wherstead, close to Ipswich.
In addition, Balfour Beatty has appointed D&W to deliver major highway works in Coventry. The works form part of the city’s Air Quality Project. This appointment follows the successful delivery of the Putney Road highway improvement scheme in Leicester.
Supporting Leicester City Council Projects
The contract awards also include several schemes for Leicester City Council. These projects have been procured through the council’s Highways Framework.
Danaher & Walsh will deliver highway works on Abbey Park Road in Leicester. The site sits close to two existing D&W bridge construction and refurbishment schemes.
Meanwhile, further orders have been placed for works at St George’s Street near the city centre. This scheme will support pedestrianisation in the area. Danaher & Walsh will also deliver environmental improvement works at Ottawa Road in the St Matthew’s area of Leicester.
Continued Work Across the Region
Danaher & Walsh’s relationship with Milestone Infrastructure and Cambridgeshire County Council also continues. Following previous works on the A1307, the company has secured a further scheme at Hildersham.
In Coventry, Homes England has appointed Danaher & Walsh to carry out infrastructure works at Ansty Park. These works will improve access and support bus services.
In Lincolnshire, Lindum Group has also appointed D&W to carry out on-site works at a new petrol filling station in Market Deeping. This follows earlier Section 278 works for the same project.
Partner Delivery Framework Appointment
In addition to the new project awards, Danaher & Walsh has been appointed to Via East Midlands’ Partner Delivery Framework.
This appointment creates opportunities for future contracts. It will also support Via’s delivery across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
Building on Repeat Business
Speaking about the recent contract awards, Ian Gilbert, Commercial Director at Danaher & Walsh, said:
“We’re very pleased to have secured a significant level of forward workload across our Midlands and Eastern operational areas. We are appreciative that the majority is repeat business from our existing client base. In line with our business growth ambitions, we are targeting larger value contracts. We’re delighted that our valued clients continue to trust us to deliver schemes to the usual high standard.”
Strengthening Future Workload
The £12m contract haul reflects the strength of Danaher & Walsh’s client relationships. It also highlights the company’s experience in delivering highways, public realm and infrastructure schemes across the Midlands and East Anglia.
As a result, Danaher & Walsh continues to build a strong pipeline of work while supporting clients with safe, reliable and high-quality civil engineering delivery.
