D&W’s Sue helps Leicester City FC’s employability programme

Danaher & Walsh’s SHEQ Manager Sue Southam has been helping out at Leicester City in the Community’s Work for All programme by taking part in mock interviews with students.

The Work for All programme works with Year 13 (aged 17 – 18) students from various SEND schools across Leicestershire. It aims to develop their skills and improve their employability.

The mock interviews serve to prepare the students for real-life job interview situations and equip them with the skills to help demonstrate their value as a prospective employee.

The 12-week programme culminates in a work experience placement, followed by a weekend trip to Calvert Lakes, a residential outdoor activity site for disabled individuals.

Leicester City in the Community is a social value and community engagement initiative of Leicester City Football Club.

Sue Southam is a trained CITB Construction Ambassador, who is passionate about engaging with young people to help inspire them into fulfilling careers, particularly within the construction industry.
