Danaher & Walsh Makes Hope Against Cancer Donation

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering is proud to make a Hope Against Cancer donation following a year of employee fundraising.

Managing Director Dan Danaher presented a cheque for £1,500 to Tracey Hallam of Hope Against Cancer.

The donation was raised through a range of charitable activities organised and supported by employees across the business.

Employee Fundraising in Action

Throughout the year, Danaher & Walsh employees supported several fundraising initiatives.

These included monthly charity ball donations, where employees paid to take part in a lucky balls competition. The winner received half of the prize pot, while the remainder went to charity. Employees also took part in sweepstakes, raffles and light-hearted competitions. These included a Women’s World Cup sweepstake, Guess the Baby and Valentine’s gift raffles.

In addition, colleagues supported fundraising through bake-off donations, Christmas meal deposit donations, LCFC ticket auctions and luxury hamper donations. The Christmas raffle also played a major role in the total raised. We would like to thank our suppliers and partners for helping make this annual fundraiser possible.

Supporting Hope Against Cancer

Danaher & Walsh employees choose the company’s Charity of the Year through a staff vote.

Hope Against Cancer was selected because of its important work and strong local connection to our Head Office in Leicestershire. The charity funds cancer research across Leicestershire and Rutland. It also supports clinical trials, new treatments, therapies and advanced care techniques.

Through the Hope Cancer Trials Centre, the charity helps ensure local people can access cutting-edge research and care.

Making a Local Difference

Hope Against Cancer shares knowledge from its research on national and international platforms.

As a result, the charity supports wider scientific collaboration and progress in cancer treatment. Danaher & Walsh is proud to support a charity that makes such a meaningful difference to local people and families.
