Danaher & Walsh Celebrate Fourth RoSPA Gold Safety Award

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering is proud to have received the RoSPA Gold Award for the fourth consecutive year.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, known as RoSPA, recognised Danaher & Walsh for its strong health and safety performance across the business. This achievement reflects the company’s continued commitment to protecting its workforce, contractors, clients and the communities it works within.

Recognising Health and Safety Excellence

The RoSPA Gold Award recognises organisations that demonstrate high standards in occupational health and safety. For Danaher & Walsh, the award highlights consistent work to manage risk, improve safety and maintain strong systems across office and site operations. It also reflects the company’s focus on creating a positive safety culture.

Putting Safety First

Danaher & Walsh continues to place health, safety and wellbeing at the centre of its work. The company works hard to go beyond basic compliance and build safe working practices into everyday operations.

As a result, teams across the business help maintain high standards and reduce risk on civil engineering projects.

Sue Southam on the Award

Sue Southam, SHEQ Manager at Danaher & Walsh, said:

“We are delighted to receive the RoSPA Gold Award for the fourth year in a row. It is very encouraging to receive this recognition and be able to share this with our clients. However, we see it as just doing our job. Keeping people safe is the most important thing we do. Having said that, it takes a lot of work, so my thanks go to my health and safety colleague, Maria Carpenter, and all of our on-site teams for their dedication to safe working practices.”

Demonstrating Strong Safety Performance

RoSPA Gold Award winners achieve a very high level of performance. They demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems, strong safety culture, excellent risk control and low levels of harm, error and loss.

Therefore, this fourth consecutive Gold Award is an important achievement for Danaher & Walsh. It recognises the company’s proactive approach to risk management, employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Working Towards Gold Medal Status

This is Danaher & Walsh’s fourth RoSPA Awards submission and its fourth Gold Award. The company is now working towards RoSPA Gold Medal status, which requires five consecutive Gold Awards.

Sue Southam added:

“We aim to be Gold Medal winners, which requires five Gold Awards in a row. We are on track for that and look forward to sharing that news with you this time next year.”

Continuing Our Safety Commitment

Danaher & Walsh is proud to celebrate this latest RoSPA Gold Award. However, the company recognises that health and safety success comes from ongoing commitment, not one-off achievement.

Through strong systems, engaged teams and a positive safety culture, Danaher & Walsh will continue to make safe working a priority across every project.
