Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering Invests Further in AMP8 Delivery

Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering continues to invest in AMP8 delivery for Anglian Water.
We have strengthened our teams with specialist vehicles, robotic cutters and high-performance equipment. These investments will help us deliver safe, efficient and high-quality work across the Anglian Water region.
They also support our long-term partnership with Anglian Water. As a result, our teams are well equipped for AMP8 and beyond.
Investing in Robotic Cutting Equipment
Danaher & Walsh has taken delivery of two IMS Micro S Automatic robotic cutters.
This investment totals around £170,000 and will support our trenchless operations. Our teams will use the machines daily to remove obstructions within pipe networks.
They will also reopen lateral connections after lining works. The equipment can work in pipe diameters from 75mm to 225mm.
IMS Robotics UK supplied the cutters. John Rose also visited site and gave the team an on-site demonstration.
We have used IMS equipment for more than eight years. Therefore, their proven reliability made them our preferred choice for AMP8.
New CCTV Van for Pipe Inspections
Danaher & Walsh has also invested in a newly commissioned CCTV van.
Minicam fitted the vehicle to an exceptional standard. The van will support pipe inspections, drainage surveys and network diagnostics.
This investment gives our teams the right tools for the job. It will also help them work with greater accuracy and efficiency.
The team has already praised the vehicle’s design and build quality. In particular, they noted the clever layout and high standard of the internal fit-out.
The CCTV van will now play an important role in day-to-day operations.
Safer Service Vans for Field Teams
Further investment has gone into our service van fleet.
The vans are now, or soon will be, fitted with safer and more practical features.
These include:
- Piston hinges on rear doors to protect operatives and pedestrians in high winds
- Upgraded internal racking systems to improve organisation
- Better access to tools and materials on site
These changes will improve safety for field teams. They will also help teams work more efficiently during daily operations.
In addition, better van layouts support a tidier working environment and quicker task delivery.
New Grab Lorry Supports Self-Delivery
Danaher & Walsh has introduced a new DAF 450 8×4 rigid grab lorry.
This vehicle replaces a previously hired lorry. It also represents a further investment of around £180,000.
The new grab lorry supports our self-delivery model for Anglian Water. It gives our teams greater flexibility when planning and delivering works.
By reducing reliance on external providers, we can improve control over programme, quality and response times.
Commitment to Quality, Safety and Collaboration
Nick Hill, Finance Director at Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering, said:
“This latest round of investment reflects our continued commitment to both operational excellence and long-term collaboration with our key client, Anglian Water. By equipping our teams with industry-leading technology and safer, more efficient vehicles, we are future-proofing our service offering into AMP8. We are also prioritising the wellbeing and effectiveness of our people on the ground. Strategic investments like these help us sustain high-quality delivery, reduce risk and reinforce the trust placed in us by our clients.”
By investing in specialist equipment, safer vehicles and self-delivery capability, Danaher & Walsh continues to strengthen its role as a trusted delivery partner for AMP8 and beyond.
Supporting Anglian Water and Local Communities
These investments show our ongoing commitment to quality, safety and service.
They also support more efficient delivery for Anglian Water and the communities we serve.
